Entering a conference room via a browser

What you have to do

1. There are two options.

   room link

   1. Copy the room link into the address bar of your browser.

   digital campus

   1. Alternatively, you can enter the conference room via the app using the External link opens in a new window:digital campus.

   2. Click on "To the overview of rooms".

      • The overview of all online lecture rooms is displayed.

   3. Look for the lecture room you want behind the "+" signs.

   4. Click on "Enter room" (or on "Copy link" if you want to send a participant link to students, for example).

2. The login screen for the conference room is displayed.

3. Enter your (a) name in the input field and click "Enter with browser".

   • alfaview starts in the browser window.

   • A pop-up, the webclient.alfaview.com, opens and asks for the camera usage.

4. Click on "Allow".

   • When you click on "Start test", the system settings are checked.
     If necessary, alfaview can be used in a "limited" way, e.g., audio only, without camera.

5. Click on "Set up audio devices" to set up the audio devices.
   You should now be wearing your headset here.

   • A pop-up, webclient.alfaview.com, opens asking for microphone usage.

6. Click on "Allow".

   • In the "Audio Device Set up" window, you can select the microphone and specify the volume. Check the volume using a test tone by clicking on "Play test tone".
     You can end this test tone with "Stop test tone".

7. Click "Close" to finish the setup.

   • The window "You are about to enter 'room'" is displayed.

8. Click on "Enter room".

   • The conference room is displayed.
