Configuring your own timetable

SPLAN 10-020

What you need to know

The goal is to integrate a specially configured timetable into your own calendar app. Configuring the timetable is useful if you also want the following to be displayed:

- Language courses, elective courses
- Study programmes for international students
- Repeated subjects from a lower semester
- Advanced subjects from a higher semester

Please note:
Basically, your schedule (depending on your programme and semester) is fixed.

What you have to do

    • It is NOT necessary for students to log in with your HFU account.

  1. Select the "Configure plan" tab and there, if necessary, select the current semester.

  2. Select the study programme.

  3. Select your semester, e.g. AIN 1 = 1st semester AIN.

    • The timetable of the respective course is displayed in the centre.

  4. Additional events (e.g. language courses, WPVs, etc.) can be added via the list on the left side by ticking them (see Figure 5.1).

    • All selected events are displayed in the list on the left side at the very bottom (see Figure 5.2).

    • If you bookmark/favourite the timetable in your browser, the configuration will be preserved.

  5. You can deactivate the events you do not want to be displayed with the red cross.

  6. Tip: To stay up-to-date with timetable changes, we recommend linking the timetable as a web calendar via iCal link to your calendar app (see Figure 8.1, copy link). You can find more information (in German) here: https://www.progotec.de/site/splandok/iCal-Anbindung.

    • If you download the timetable via iCal file, export it as PDF or print it, you will not be informed about any changes.

  7. The colour scheme at the bottom left gives you an indication of the frequency of the event (e.g. weekly, fortnightly, etc.).
