Registering the HFU Card as a European Student Card (ESC)

What you have to do

1. You have a valid (new) HFU Card.

2. Open the address External link opens in a new window:https://hfu-card.intra.hs-furtwangen.de from within the HFU network.

   • If you are outside the HFU network, you will need an active VPN connection. Use the Helpcard Internal link opens in the same window:eduVPN at HFU (VPN 10-010).

   • 2.2

     

3. Click the “Zum nächsten Schritt” (Next step) button and log in with your Internal link opens in the same window:HFU Account.

4. Click under Data preview, in “Verfügbare Aktionen” (Available actions), on the “European Student Card registrieren…”  (Register European Student Card) button.

   • The “European Student Card registrieren” (Register European Student Card) page will be displayed.

5. Confirm data processing by ticking the checkbox, then click the “HFU Card jetzt als European Student Card registrieren” (Register HFU Card now as European Student Card) button.

   • Your HFU Card will be registered.

6. Once your HFU Card has been successfully registered, you can use it as you wish.

   • Once activation is complete, you can now use the printed QR code.

   • In the data preview, the status “aktiviert” (activated) should now be shown under “European Student Card”.
