Video Editor
What you need to know
You can use the video editor to add (interactive) elements to videos and use them for quizzes and the video task module (see Helpcard 30-250).
You have the following editing options in the editor: You can add chapters, annotations, segments, comments and quiz questions to the respective video.
Chapters serve as jump marks for easier navigation and better comprehensibility of the content. Longer videos should always be divided into chapters.
Annotations can be added to highlight particularly important passages or to supplement certain aspects. In addition to text, links can also be added that lead to further information or other videos, for example. The annotations are displayed in the video at the relevant point with the specified duration.
Segments are used to name or mark certain sequences and are required for the task in the "Video task" course element.
Comments can be placed at a specific point in the video to clarify key statements, provide additional information on the topic or notes on the following video section. The video flow is interrupted to read the comments and the comment and author are displayed.
Quiz allows you to add individual quiz questions to the video. There are currently 12 different question types to choose from.
