Preparing accessories for use

RMOOC 20-010

What you need to know

In the Rapidmooc studio, you only have to make a few preparations before the recording can be started.

Please be sure to comply with our Download file:hygiene concept.

We recommend getting the accessories ready first.

What you have to do

  1. Connect your laptop with the HDMI cable of the Rapidmooc and start your presentation on your end device.

    • The presentation will be transferred as soon as you are in the Rapidmooc interface and have selected a recording mode.

  2. Turn on the Bluetooth keyboard (switch is located at the top of the keyboard) (see Figure 2.1).

    • The control is then done with the finger on the trackpad when Rapidmooc is turned on.

    • You can also operate the Rapidmooc via touch screen.

  3. You can choose between two different USB presenters to control your presentation.
If you want to use a USB presenter, then you have to connect the USB receiver (above or below the cover of the presenter) to your laptop.
You can also use the gray, larger presenter (on the right in Figure 3.1) as a digital "laser pointer" in your presentation during recording (e.g. to underline or outline content). These markings are then also visible in the video. You may need to activate this function on your laptop.

    • Turn the smaller, black presenter on at the side.

    • The USB receivers must be recognised by the end device. For the larger of the two, you will need to download the Logitech software when it is displayed.

  4. Using the microphone

    • Turn on the transmitter by keeping the On button pressed until both green indicator lights are on.

    • Attach the lapel mic to your collar (about 10 cm below your chin and facing up). If possible, hide the cable.

    • Place the transmitter in your pants or jacket pocket, for example (for a better audio signal, it is advisable to choose a side pocket).

    • Make sure that no necklaces, scarves or similar are rubbing against the microphone or the cable.

    • The Rapidmooc also has a second microphone for a dialogue situation.
