Certificates
Various types of certificates are required at HFU. These are presented below.
For employees: Every HFU employee requires a user certificate for digital signature. The user certificate is a prerequisite for working on the University Internal Portal (HIP). The digital signature serves to identify the signer and ensures the integrity of the signed electronic documents.
The user certificate can also be imported and set up in mail clients to use your emails with a digital signature.
For students and employees using the WLAN eduroam and HFU Open: For security reasons, we strongly recommend installing the root certificate for WLAN.
Detailed information on certificates can be found on the websites of the External link opens in a new window:DKN-PKI.
