The scene editor

RMOOC 20-035

What you need to know

After you have selected the "Green screen" recording mode under record video, "Video aufzeichnen", you can use the scene editor to "stage" not only yourself, but also your slides and another background image together as you wish.

What you have to do

  1. Select "Video aufzeichnen" (record video) in the main menu and then bring up the settings.

    • The settings open.

  2. Now select "Szenen-Editor" (scene editor).

    • The scene editor opens.

  3. You can now open an already saved scene or create a new scene.
Under "Szene öffnen" (open scene) you will find various scenes that you can use.

    • For example, you are shown as a speaker next to your presentation, which is embedded in the scene "Furtwangen Lecture Hall" or "New York Loft".

  4. To create a new scene, click "Element auswählen" (select element).

    • These instructions are particularly relevant if you have selected the green screen capture mode in the options.

    • There you can now "set the scene" with the camera source (i.e. you as the speaker), the laptop source (usually the slides) and a background image (for example from the templates).

    • Using "Element bearbeiten" (Edit element), you can now edit the size and position of the selected elements.

    • It is not absolutely necessary to save the scene. If you do, it will be permanently stored until you delete it. To delete a scene, you must navigate to the main menu and select the "Vorlagen" (Templates) tile there. You can then select and delete a scene there.

  5. Click on "Zurück" (Back) to return to the options. You can follow Helpcard Internal link opens in the same window:Options in the video menu (RMOOC 20-030) from step 4.
