HFU Chat
HFU offers a chat service via a matrix server (matrix.hs-furtwangen.de) for all university members.
Matrix enables encrypted communication in individual and group chats.
For example, end-to-end encryption can be used to communicate in departments, project teams, and between faculty and students.
Matrix uses an open communication protocol and can be used in the browser, via desktop client or in a mobile app with your HFU account.

Note for Windows users
After using the automatic update function (update from 27.02.2025) of the Element Client, you may no longer be able to open the app - to resolve the problem, please reinstall the app via the manufacturer's website.
