Accessing e-books, e-journals and databases

What you need to know

The HFU libraries offer members of the university community extensive access to e-books, e-journals and a wide range of licensed databases. These electronic resources support efficient research for study, teaching and research.

Access is via the BOSS library catalogue, the DBIS database portal and the EZB journal database.

What you have to do

  1. The following services are available to assist you with your research depending on your needs:

  2. External link opens in a new window:BOSS (Fig.4.1): The research portal gives you access to licensed e-books and e-resources (e.g. videos from LinkedIn Learning etc.).

  3. External link opens in a new window:DBIS (Fig. 4.2): The Database Information System provides an overview of academic databases that are freely accessible or available via a licence held by the HFU Libraries.

  4. External link opens in a new window:EZB (Fig.4.3): The electronic journal database allows you to search for academic journals licensed by the HFU libraries.
