Accessing e-books, e-journals and databases

What you have to do

1. The following services are available to assist you with your research depending on your needs:

   • To use our digital services, you will need an HFU account.
     Open the External link opens in a new window:Logging into your HFU Account guide (Helpcard HFUACCOUNT 10-030 ) and follow the steps described to log in.

   • If you wish to access internal services whilst outside the HFU university network, you will also need eduVPN, see Internal link opens in the same window:eduVPN at HFU (Helpcard VPN 10-010).

2. External link opens in a new window:BOSS (Fig.4.1): The research portal gives you access to licensed e-books and e-resources (e.g. videos from LinkedIn Learning etc.).

3. External link opens in a new window:DBIS (Fig. 4.2): The Database Information System provides an overview of academic databases that are freely accessible or available via a licence held by the HFU Libraries.

4. External link opens in a new window:EZB (Fig.4.3): The electronic journal database allows you to search for academic journals licensed by the HFU libraries.
