Searching for and using semester collections

BIB 20-035

What you need to know

Literature and documents that lecturers consider fundamental and important for courses and make available to their students are compiled in semester collections. As a rule, a semester collection exists for the duration of one semester.

An overview of the semester collections can be found in the library catalogues under the heading 'Semester collections'.

The media with the location designation 'Semesterapparat' are placed in the reading room. They can only be borrowed overnight so that all students have the opportunity to work with this literature at any time.

Lecturers have the option of informally requesting a semester collection at any time. The literature compiled for the course is made available to students at the next possible opportunity as a semester collection for research and availability.
