High processor load on the Mac

What you need to know

When you run alfaview on a Mac, the fan spins noticeably loudly. The processor is very stressed.

The manufacturer is aware of the situation. A more resource-saving version is in the works!

What you have to do

  1. In the alfaview app, reduce the bandwidth usage under: Settings > Video: Bandwidth usage Screen sharing: reduced.

    Set the "Improved video quality" to: off.

      You can find the video settings under "Show all settings".

  2. Activate the "automatic change of graphics modes" in the System Preferences of your Mac under "Power Saving.

    • If the option to switch graphics modes automatically is not displayed, your computer has only one graphics system.
