What you need to know

You or your students want to screen share with Windows during an alfaview session, but have problems doing so?

Then please follow the instructions below to find a solution.

What you have to do

  1. If you have problems with the transmission performance of the screen sharing, you can lower the bandwidth usage:

    • For this purpose, open the settings by clicking on the gear icon  and then on "Show all settings" at the very bottom.

    • The advanced settings window opens.

    • Switch to the "Video" option in the left menu bar.

    • The video settings will open.

    • In the "Screen sharing bandwidth usage" dropdown, change from "Normal" to "Reduced".

    • The bandwidth usage of screen sharing has been reduced.
