eKlausur@home - the exam time has expired, but tests are not finished


What you need to know

You can easily retrieve non-finished tests from your students by hand.

What you have to do

  1. In your corresponding "EKLK_Mastercourse (eKlausur@home)", under "To exam", click on the "eKlausur@home" course component.

    • The "test cockpit" opens. You have the same view that you can reach via Administration > Assessment tool.

  2. Click on the "cogwheel" on the right above the table and deactivate those table columns in the view that you do not need (e.g. user name, visibility, doc,) so that you can see the "three dots menu" on the far right at the end of the table for each examinee.

  3. If students have finished the test as normal, in the "Completion" column in the table you will see "Finished".
    If a test has not been submitted, you will still see a completion bar in the "Completion" column.

  4. Decide between one of the following scenarios to retrieve tests that have not yet ended:
    Scenario 1: the testing period has expired for everyone. There are no individuals whose test period has been extended (continue to the next step).
    Scenario 2: the test period has been extended for individuals (continue at step 5).

  5. If not all students have finished the test yet, but the exam time has expired for all of them, then retrieve all tests manually by clicking on the "Pull tests" button (above).

  6. If the test period has been extended for some individuals, do not use the button above the table to pull tests. This would end all tests.
    Manually pull the tests of the persons who are not allowed to continue writing.

    • To do this, click on the 3 dots menu at the end of the row of each examinee whose test you want to pull.

    • Select "Pull running test".

    • The tests of the examinees selected will be pulled. In the "Completion" column in the assessment tool table, the status of these tests is now "Finished".
